Learn to Dance in a Day! Beginner Workshop & Social Dance

$30.00

Saturday, September 27, $30
Beginner Workshop: 3-5 PM
Social Dance: 5-6 PM (included in your workshop ticket!)

CENTRAL STUDIO
5617 Pershing Ave., St. Louis, MO 63112

Go from walking around the room to dancing around the room in just an afternoon! No experience or partner required!

Join RCSO instructors for a Beginner Workshop guaranteed to get you having fun on the dance floor. This 2-hour class will introduce 6-count Lindy Hop and swing dancing basics. After class, stick around for a 1-hour DJ’d social dance to practice your new moves! Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes/shoes and bring a water bottle. We can’t wait to see you there!

What dance role should I choose - lead or follow?

Choose your own adventure! Lindy Hop is a partnered dance and everyone’s voice plays a unique role. Leads generally initiate movement or an idea for followers, who then respond with their own interpretation.

We ask that you stick to one role within this workshop; however, feel free to learn a different role in future classes. If you come to class with a friend or partner who you want to dance with, be sure to choose opposite roles!
